Polka Donkey
|
兎馬は海を越えてPolka Donkeyとなりました。
人と人、ものとものとをつなげるというのをテーマに
ちょこちょこと続けている兎馬。
その兎馬の、Portlandでの活動が始まりました！
イラストレーター＆絵本作家そして同居人でもあるS.Brittとのコラボレートで
彼のオリジナルイラストを私が版画にする。というものです。
英語名は「Polka Donkey」
ささやかに始めたこの「Polka Donkey」、思いっきり楽しんで作れたらと思います。
そして、見てくれる方に、喜んでいただけたら幸いです。
ウェブショップが現在英語表記なのですが、日本へも送る事が可能です。

第一弾はこちら、Niñaちゃんと猫のコッペパンの絵です。

Niñaちゃんがお父さんの本を見ているところに、コッペパンがきて
本の内容を読んでとおねだりするんだけど
じつはNiñaちゃんも読む事ができない難しい本で
（珍しい動物の絵が沢山載っているので眺めて遊んでいた）
でもコッペに楽しませようと、思わず
「これはね、ぽ、ぽ、Polka Donkeyという動物のお話なんだよ、、、」
と、自分でストーリーを作ってしまいます。
Niñaちゃんが一生懸命作ったお話にコッペは大喜び！
お礼に、イワシアイスを食べに行こうと誘います。
One day, while looking through her father's enormous library, a curious little girl named Niña
was greeted by her inquisitive cat Koppe-pan.
"Purr, purr. What are you reading? Is it a funny story? Is it a scary story? I want to know!
Sadly, I can not read books like you. Do you think you could read it to me instead? Purr, purr."
Unfortunately, Niña also couldn't read the book because it had too many big words that she had never seen before. You see, Niña's father is a professor and he likes to read complicated books with many big words, because it makes him feel smart.
Niña chose this particular book because it was filled with many drawings of both ancient and mythical animals, and she liked looking at them.
So as not to upset her beloved cat Koppe-pan, Niña pretended to read the book aloud.
"Yes, this is a VERY interesting story about the most amazing creature of all, the magical Polka Donkey!"
"MEOW! A Polka Donkey? What's that?"
"Yes, the marvelous Polka Donkey! He's like a regular donkey, except he's covered in colorful spots and he can dance and play the accordion! Because he is always so happy and friendly, every child in every land loves him so. To show his appreciation, the Polka Donkey sends cute drawings to the children of the world on very special occasions."
"Purr, purr. Wow, what a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing it with me Niña. Now, let's go have some anchovy ice cream to celebrate!"

名古屋三越ラシック・キャビネットアトリエに納品します。
|
手作り作家さんの作品を扱っている、
キャビネットアトリエというお店で作品を展開することになりました。
アクセサリーと裂き織りの布小物を中心に、毎回一点ものに近いものを
出して行く予定です。
初回納品分は、ハリネズミ小物入れ大小、キャットトイ、
花のコサージュ、シュシュ、紅茶染めのアクセサリー数点です。
初海越え納品なので、はっきりとした日にちは未定なのですが、
５月初め頃にはお店に並ぶと思います。

Etsy でアクセサリーアイテムを開始しました

webshop、Etsyにてアクセサリーアイテムの販売を開始しました。
手作り感や雰囲気を大切に、一点一点全て違うものを展開していきます。
真鍮のオリジナルのパーツが付かないのと（工房を作るまでの間、本格的な金属加工ができないためです）違う土地での再スタートのため、最初のうちは価格を随分（！）おさえています。
準備期間でもある今、いつもとは違ったアイテム、素材をいろいろと試しています。頻繁にアイテムを増やしていますので、時々覗いてみてください。
